Director of Technology

A native of the beautiful island of Jamaica, Haldane now lives in New York City. He attended university at New York Institute of Technology where he attained his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and minored in Computer Graphics and Animation.

Haldane has more than 9 years experience in developing interactive software solutions, and is currently a software developer at Hearst Newspapers Digital, tackling the process of creating a uniform, new and engaging experience across all the Hearst newspaper properties. Haldane recently worked at The New York Times delivering great digital experiences for numerous brands like Cartier, BMW, Mercedes, OppenheimerFunds, Ford while working in the TBrandStudio. Haldane has designed and implemented numerous multi-platform applications for various brands and companies including MTV, ESPN, Anheuser Busch: Budweiser, Essence Music Festival, Urban Latino, Prudential, New York Institute of Technology, United Technologies(UTC), Denny’s, Scholastic, Discovery Networks, Nickelodeon Verizon, Pepsi, Greater Talent Network, More Than A Mapp and others. Haldane has utilized platforms such as Mobile Applications for IOS and Android. Websites and Web Applications that are mobile optimized and E-commerce driven websites. Along with executing working experiences for applications and websites, Haldane has also done Graphic Design and UX Design for the named platforms.

Haldane leads ADYA’s technological execution, and with the natural progression of ADYA’s goals and programs is actively planning and working with the team to execute aspects of The Sankofa Tutoring System™ digitally, as well as a variety of other future programs. He is also the designer and developer of the current ADYA website, and overseas the maintenance.

Haldane is passionate about exploring history, social responsibility, science, visual art, film and world cultures. He also enjoys sports, in particular soccer, tennis and basketball.
